It’s Not About Patching Symptoms, It’s About Understanding The Root Cause

Your genes don’t work in isolation – they work with each other and the body’s environment. What we eat, how we move, our stress levels, and our emotional lives affect how our genes behave. Understanding our individual genetic blueprint can guide us to make health choices that help us to live happier, longer, and better.

Systems Approach

Our bodies are complex. The genetic test we offer looks at how our genes work together in cellular pathways and functional systems to control processes such as inflammation, metabolism, and detoxification.

 Going Upstream

Traditionally, we have spent far too much time focusing on trying to fix symptoms. By doing an genetic test, we want to change this by understanding what’s happening at a deep cellular level so we can prevent, delay, or reverse disease.

Sustainable Change

We believe that health is not a static condition, but a daily choice. Using our Blueprint and the guidance of an expert practitioner you can gain a deeper understanding of your body and the daily choices you need to make.

Neurotransmitter Analysis

$ Variable

Neurotransmitters are the chemical messengers that facilitate the transmission of signals from one neuron to the next across a synapse. Neurotransmitters influence and regulate a wide range of processes such as mental performance, emotions, pain response, and energy levels.

Symptoms of neurotransmitter imbalances often overlap other conditions, and can be mistaken for sex hormone imbalances, chronic infections, GI distress, metabolic abnormalities, neurological decline, and chronic fatigue, to name a few.

Hormones, especially adrenal hormones and sex hormones, are interconnected with neurotransmitters. An imbalance in adrenal and sex hormones could lead to neurotransmitter imbalances which could revert back to cause hormonal imbalances.

Testing a combination of hormonal and neurotransmitter panels would provide a comprehensive assessment of the hormonal and neurotransmitter dysfunctions and their relationships, that could aid in identifying underlying causes of symptoms.

By testing a comprehensive panel of neurotransmitters, clinicians can determine when symptoms are directly or indirectly related to neurotransmitter levels, and when additional testing may be appropriate.

Food Sensitivity Test Kit

$318+

 Food sensitivities are inflammatory responses of the immune system triggered by food allergens. Unlike food allergies, the symptoms of a food sensitivity often occur hours or even days after exposure, making it difficult to pinpoint the specific offending food(s). This delayed reaction is what causes the majority of the 12 million people estimated to suffer from food sensitivities unaware and blame things like aging for their chronic symptoms.

Testing for food sensitivities streamlines the process of identifying triggering foods, providing clear evidence and guidance to begin the healing process and start improving symptoms.

 When testing for food sensitivities, the test uses immunoglobins antibodies found in the blood, IgG (1,2,3). We test these antibodies separately to establish a clear picture of what food triggers may be the root cause of patients’ symptoms.

Immunoglobulin G1-3 or IgG

IgG is an antibody that can activate the pro-inflammatory complement system (complement cascade) associated with chronic inflammatory conditions. High levels of IgG (class II or higher) overload receptors and drive the inflammatory reaction while low levels of IgG (class 0/I) indicate tolerance.

IgG testing is the most commonly performed food sensitivity testing and foods that are only high in IgG can often be safely re-introduced after a period of abstinence.

Toxic Heavy Metal Mineral Analysis

$ Variable

The Heavy Metals test is a urine-based test to screen for 20 of the most common heavy metals known to accumulate and cause adverse health effects in the human body.

  • Heavy metal toxicity is under-represented as a root cause of illness and disease in humans, is thought to affect over 1 million individuals annually, and can affect virtually all biological systems within the human body
  • Heavy metals may be the root cause of common neurological disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune diseases, and disorders associated with increased oxidative stress and cellular dysfunction
  • Due to the ability of many heavy metals to deplete critical nutrients such as antioxidants and minerals, the Vibrant Heavy Metals test should be run alongside a Vibrant Micronutrient panel, to assess both intra- and extracellular levels of commonly affected nutrients
  • Populations at greater risk of heavy metal toxicity include developing fetuses, children, and the immunocompromised, as well as individuals with impaired liver function and reduced antioxidant activity
  • Heavy metals are present in all regions of the United States, and can accumulate in air, soil, and drinking or ground water sources in and around concentrated sources of heavy metals from industrial production or pollution
  • Some professions and hobbies are at greater risk of heavy metal toxicity, including fuel, munitions, painting, rubber manufacturing, industrial smelting, mining, photographic processing, agriculture, semiconductors, welding, and waste or radioactive waste disposal sites
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) considers 13 heavy metals of significance to human and environmental health: arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, mercury, manganese, nickel, lead, tin, and titanium, however, there are other metals and metalloids that may be significant causes of health problems in humans

Environmental Pollutant Profile

$198

Long-term exposure to many common chemicals in our environment is known or suspected to have serious health consequences. Our Environmental Pollutants Profile provides quantitative measurement of 14 select metabolites that can help define an individual’s toxic burden and provide valuable information for a targeted nutritional and detoxification intervention.

Liquid Chromatography/ Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) instrumentation is used to quantitatively evaluate patient urine specimens for metabolically-derived organic acids and evidence of exposure to environmental pollutants. Our Environmental Pollutants Profile is run on this comprehensive testing platform, which offers superb separation, resolution, and identification of compounds from a complex biological mixture such as urine, yielding precise and repeatable results.
